The crow is the sound that is made by the reed without the instrument. Much like the buzz on a brass mouthpiece. The crow however is a muliti-pitch sound that is made up of low/middle/high tones.
Tonguing: Tip to Tip - use the tip of your tongue with an up and down motion to the tip of the reed. Use as much force as necessary but try not to tongue too hard as this will slow your articulation speed and alter the tone quality.

Crow too high - too few sounds
The embouchure is too tight or the reed is too hard. Try loosening up on the embouchure or filing some reed channels.
