READING THE BASS CLEF
A common acronym to remember the bass clef notes is to memorize a saying for the spaces. "All Cows Eat Grass." The first letter stands for each space in the staff starting with "A" on the lowest. The lowest notes on the bassoon are written in the bass clef. This is also the most common clef to find music in. The bass clef also has another name which is the F Clef. It is called that because the two dotes surround the F line of the staff.

READING THE TENOR CLEF

The tenor clef brings some of the high notes into the range of the staff rather than having lots of ledger lines on the bass clef.. The focal point of the symbol centers on the fourth line up which is middle C.
